About Me

Hi – my name is Lauren Marie.

At 40 something, part of my “putting myself back together” adventure was becoming a personal trainer, I wanted to be able to help other women find peace with their bodies and minds.

In 2023, I went all in and got 8 certifications, all listed below if you’re interested.

I made my MidLife Comeback and am more comfortable in my body, and my mind, today than I ever have been.

I quit trying to bandaid everything and finally went to the root of the issue and learned how to get my body and my mind on the same frequency – my mind and body working together, on the same “channel” got me to a place of being comfortable in it for the first time in my life.

But a big piece of the equation was learning how to work with my mind and my body together.

I made my MidLife Comeback.

If I can do it – I know you can do it.

FX/For Real Life

Life requires more than gym strength, it requires functional strength – the kind that helps you do your day to day things. In my life, those day to day things include, handling animals, unloading feed, 3-string bales of alfalfa, toting feed tubs, just to name a few.

It also require agility and balance. If a horse spooks and I have to get out of the way, I can without pulling something or tripping all over myself.

And, from time to time, I may have to rope a calf so I take a lot of consideration as to my joints. Shoulders, knees, etc.

This is where I came up with the full body approach to training. I don’t do body “parts” or sections, like arm day, leg day, back, chest, core, etc. – I do my whole body, every workout.

I believe that this has been a key factor in my strength + conditioning keeping up with my life.

My Credentials

I spent most of my life in a constant struggle with my body. Beginning when things started “changing” when I was 15 years old. I became aware of a little squish here, a little squish there and I hated it. I grew up an athlete and never had any “squish” and was not happy to find it that day in high school when I was squatted down at my bottom row locker.

As long ago as that’s been now, I will never forgot that. That’s the moment that sent me off into yeeears of obsessing over calories, eating disorders, excessive exercising and so on.

Back in 2023, I went through a very traumatic situation within my family and it nearly destroyed me, until I crawled out from under the rubble of the mass-wreckage and made the very intentional decision that I was going to put myself back together and go on.

Putting myself back together meant, emotionally and physically. While I was working on all of that, the want to help other women do the same became very heavy on my heart, so I started looking up “how to become a personal trainer”.

I found various accreditation “agencies”, I compared certification options and found that ISSA offered the more of a variety – so I dove and got 8!!
